The cookies for the food pantry this week were fitting because it is freezing here!! The mittens are royal icing transfers.  After taking Julia’s latest Zoom class, I am trying hard to improve my airbrushing.  Practice is definitely key.  Fortunately, the silver sheen used on the background is subtle and very forgiving.  The blue shading around the perimeter was more of a challenge.  Since I had to repeat it on 100 cookies, let’s just say that things got a bit crazy!

The airbrushing looks really good despite silver coloring tending to clump and clog airbrushes! What airbrush are you using? If you had clogging with the metallics, you might consider Creative Cookier's pink-handled airbrush. It has a larger nozzle opening than most designed specifically to pass that type of coloring more easily. And keep the compressor pressure as high as it can go (20-30 psi if you have a gauge) to keep away those speckles.

The brush I am currently using is the air genie. I had been using a badger with an adjustable gauge but it kind of konked out. I got the air genie for your class (and my sister sent me a second one since my birthday coincided with your class🤣😝à so now I have two air genies. They’re fine for practicing but I probably will look into a dual action, as discussed.
