A little late but I made these patriotic cookies one year ago using the 'Sweet Sugar Bell' cookie cutter collection. Since it's almost Independence Day I figured it was fitting to post now........I used the wet on wet technique for the heart and flip flops. For the round cookie I used my 'Stampin Up' scripture verses stamp collection, dipped in icing. A little tricky but I managed to figure out the right amount of icing and pressure to apply. Lesson learned: Wait 24 hours before embellishing! The icing must be completely dry and hard before applying the stamp. They were a hit at our July 4th county festival! The cookies and icing were vanilla flavoring....Yum!
