I had some issues with these cookies...they dried for at least 34 hours and i still had a hard time writing on them because they were to soft and my marker kept making holes in the icing...does anyone know how long it takes to dry so that i can write on them??

I am definitely no expert at this, but I’ll just share what I found a good solution for me. I live in damp Buenos Aires so what has worked out for me is to place them in an open door, very gentle oven. It dries them and gives a glossy coating. I generally leave them for 1/2 hour until there is a hard surface. Then carry on with decorations. In the case of writing, where the pressure is different, I would leave them overnight before trying. Hope you find a solution.
