So very beautiful!  Love how perfect your bird is!  Does it make sense that a cookie can make you feel calm? I can just imagine a walk after fresh snowfall and feeling this way! Do you have a lot of food colors for painting, or do you do a lot of mixing!

Thank you! I don't have many colours for painting - I just use the old pots of sugarflair gel colours when they're empty. There's always plenty left dried onto the sides for painting, which I use just by wetting a little, and I mix them continually to get the shades I want. Of course for a robin, it's just brown, black, orange and yellow :-)

Amazing that something so beautiful can come from so few colors!  Thank you Lucy! I have quite a few dried out pots to work with!

Thank you! No, I piped the bird's body in situ, and just used tiny brushes

Can you share the types of brushes you used? Thanks!

To be honest, I don't actually know! I bought fine tipped brushes from the art section of my local hobbycraft shop, I have a range, some of which have no markings left on them from washing. The next time I'm there, I'll look and see which types I've got, what they're made of etc.
