I was excited when I read Here's how I did..., then I saw FB link - duh me! lol Oh well, I am still excited to see that you posted a how to, detail of how to... Rarely do I see anyone posting how they did... Yes, I ask, but rarely remember to whom I asked, their names, or what I asked... And tags rarely detail technique, etc. So - I'm guessing - you understand my dilemma... Oh well... Bravo on your achievement!

HI! Thank you for viewing the link. I'm happy to share the process. Usually I do everything in freehand. Once I have drawn the character on the cookie I start with a wet on wet technique. I do the flooding then add on the black piped details later. To achieve a somewhat shiny effect I painted a silver luster dust on areas that needs highlighting. I also painted the white part with luster dust. and the meshed background. Everything is flooded with royal icing. If I want to add more details I paint on it. I hope this helps. If you have questions I will be happy to answer it. Thank you!

Great job!
A friendly posting reminder: Please don't forget to tag your photos IN ADDITION TO putting them into clip sets. (This is the only way to ensure that your photos will be found by people and search engines later.) I put this photo in clip sets for you as an example only - please fully classify in the future. For all the important reasons for fully classifying your photos and how to, please read this post: http://cookieconnection.juliau...READ-BEFORE-YOU-POST
I just want your lovely cookies to be found. Plus, it saves me and moderators a lot of time when people fully classify their own images! Thanks so much!
