Treasure Box - Nikki Carriere

The box was flooded with icing and then a tip 150 tip (a straight tip) was used for the top edges. A #3 tip was used for the decorations on the edges of the body of the box and a #1 was used for the top. The stained glass was isomalt and a painted the back side of it with gel color. A small LED flashlight in the box to show the stained glass design.

Yes, though you can always check yourself. Just refresh the page/browser, and if the images show, it's worked. If they show up as big white boxes with "Image Not Found" written in them, as they did before, then they did not load properly. It's best for members to check all of their posts right after they post, as I am unable to do this, and sometimes posting errors occur. But it looks fine now. Thanks!

What a beautiful, elegant box! Your corners are so nice and neat. Tell us - did you assemble your box and then dip the whole thing in icing? I don't really see any seams, so I am wondering how you got your flood so even all around. I love the stained glass inset - what an unexpected and fabulous detail that is! This is a really well-executed project! I hope you have kept this or gifted it to someone very special!

Thank you very much, @Bakerloo Station. Each piece was flooded separately, not dipped. Once flooded on both sides - except for the bottom - I "glued" the sides together and then to the bottom. Where my edges didn't quite connect to each other, I piped a solid line of blue and then, once dried, I piped the "pearls" to cover any noticeable seams on the outside. I really enjoyed doing the stained glass. I had never one before. The finished one is the second attempt.
