I am totally enamored with anything vintage and shabby chic so you can imagine how I love these exquisite cookies. How did you make the cabochon ? Did you paint the surface of the cookie then made a clear cabochon from either melted candy or isomalt ?
Hi LadyGodiva2u! I took a plastic paint palette (the round ones you get at the craft store) and I sprayed them with Pam. I cooked down some Isomalt and poured it into the paint wells. When it cooled, they popped right out. I then painted a little water on the flat side of the sugar dome and stuck it on top of my painted royal icing circle. Voila!!!
