I see in the pictures on your site how people sketch their designs out, before decorating the cookies. Then how do you get those intricate designs onto the cookies? Do you pierce the pattern onto the cookie with pins?
I usually prick the motif, if the ornamet is large and symmetrical.
Onto little harts like these I don't practise setout.
If I doing similar cookies like these harts, the ornament is coming out fom my mind, and spirit. I just get a sight of the design on cookies, when I hold in my hand... Then I try to excute the piping. It's godsend...
I agree, I do my cookies the same way. I make a lot of snowflakes, and these just come out of my own creativity, with God giving me ideas, as you said!
I just recall seeing your students using a very large, very symmetrical design, for example, and it is sometimes hard to get something so large and detailed to come out even on a cookie.
