Very striking. Just curious - what are they stuck into?
Thank you, Julia! I baked the cookies with ordinary wooden skewers, cut into the desired length. Then I wrapped them with florist tape, the one used in cake decorating.

But what are the sticks inserted into? Is it granulated sugar or something else? Couldn't see in the first photo, but my eyeglasses broke and I am away on vacation (with no one to repair them) and am struggling to see just about everything!

Sorry, I didn't get the question, I was so tired last night. Yes, it is sugar. First I wanted to use cookies and wrap them with wafer paper to look like pots of flowers, but then I thought that they will not have the appearence I want. Next time I might use pudding or other similar dessert to stuck them into.
