I recently sent cookies to families with a child recovering from a serious illness. It’s through the Icing Smiles organization so I know relatively little about the recipients. I basically just receive the addresses, names and ages. Though I have sent through them a number of times, this was the first time I was assigned teenagers! I decided to stay away from anything that might be considered too juvenile and stick with a simple message. It also gave me an opportunity to take a different approach with a favorite stencil. I played around with some layering and used other colors to offset the red. Here’s a photo of an earlier cookie I made. It was specifically for a Valentines celebration. I also scraped the icing on this one instead of airbrush. I think it looks sooo different!
You never cease to amaze me, dear Lisa. Both versions are amazing! This is such a beautiful gift of love. You are such a blessing to so many, and the recipients are so blessed to get these gorgeous reminders that they are not alone. Thank you so much much♥️

Thank you so much for your kind words. I was actually over the moon when I decided on the idea (I did a couple of other designs that I’ll post later). Teenagers can be so hard to design for! But then it hit me that all ages love cookies and one thing led to another. I know you know how these things go
God bless your caring, generous heart. I’m sure this lovely gift was greatly appreciated. Your cookies and beautiful. ❤️ … and so are you.
Thank you so much for your lovely words Sandy. I truly get so much out of these gifts. It’s such a privilege to be able to be creative, practice techniques and support worthy recipients. Lots of love all around.

You are much too kind Gabi. I’m just incredibly grateful to be able to bring some smiles and have such a supportive community to share it with. ❤️ By the way, I’ve been meaning to tell you that I absolutely love the moving snow angel you created for the banner. It makes me smile every time I see it 😍
