SITE SUGGESTION: How Interested Are You in a Member Tagging Feature?

This very good question, just in from IFeelCook:

THE QUICK ANSWER: Tagging is not currently possible.

Please answer the poll below to let me know if you think a tagging feature would be useful on the site. Please also bear in mind that features are typically added at no cost to me only if there is sufficient demand across all of my developer's (Hoop.la's) sites/customers to merit the development efforts. So interest would need to be high here and elsewhere for them to consider any feature additions (thus the importance of answering the poll if interested).

Specifically, the question is this: Would you like to see the addition of a member tagging feature, i.e., the ability to tag members in comments or posts with an "@" or other prompt?

Yes, definitely.

Maybe, I'm sort of lukewarm about the idea.

No, it's not a necessity.

UPDATE: Since you guys really liked this idea (and so did I), I forwarded it onto my site developers (Hoop.la) for consideration many months ago. As noted above, they will only implement ideas at no cost to me if other site owners/managers express similar interest. As of October 16, 2014, they still have not implemented this feature, and - unfortunately - Cookie Connection cannot afford to pay to develop this feature on a custom basis.

I have resubmitted this idea to them in the hopes that they will consider free development. I will keep you updated on any further developments here.
