Hi all,
I will be on vacation in the NY area April 20th - May 3rd and would love
to take an advanced cookie decorating class. I can't seem to find one;
if any of you can recommend a class, I would be very thankful (and very happy)

Hi, I'm currently working with some schools in NYC to see if I can organize classes with them, though nothing is yet finalized. If I schedule anything, it will likely be in the latter half of the year though, as the first half is pretty close to booked.

Wow Julia! That's good to hear. It would be a long travel for me even though I am in Pennsylvania. Plus the added expense of hotel, etc., and my being a little scared in unknown surroundings.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I encourage people to post their classes to our calendar, but I have not seen any in NYC myself. Amber has some in upstate NY from time to time as someone else mentioned. Have you checked with her?

I'll do my best - but the better bet is to check back to the calendar here. It's tough for me to keep track of individual requests not related to my own classes.
Sarit - CakeAway, Send Amber at Sweet Ambs an email and ask if she can have a private class for you during the 2 weeks you will be here. She does private classes. Or maybe she can schedule a group class during the time you will be here. But you need to contact her now, her schedule is busy. Also go to flourboxbakery.com. Anne Yorks is the owner and teaches intermediate classes. Also Stephanie at thehungryhippopotamus.com teaches group and private advanced classes. If you do schedule a private or small group class let me know I would love to take another class with these 3 great instructors
P.S. Flour Box Bakery and The Hungry Hippopotamus are located in PA but are very easy to get to from NY.
