Hi! The Cookie Connection forums are a great spot to get speedy advice from other members, or to post your news. But before you post there, please read and heed the following rules:

1. Make sure your question (or topic) has not already been addressed, as we try to avoid duplicate topics. To do this, use the Advanced Search function under the "magnifying glass" icon (in the upper right of the site in standard laptop viewing mode) or under the yellow "Search" tab (to the left on mobile devices). Once there, select "Forums" in the dropdown menu to the top left (see screenshot below), enter any keywords related to your search, and hit the blue "Search" box at the bottom of the page. Then review the topics already posted to the site. If you don't see yours, then feel free to open a new topic.

2. To post a new forum topic, select the big "Post" button (in the upper right of the site in standard laptop viewing mode) or under the yellow "Post" tab (to the left on mobile devices), and then select "Topic" in the dropdown menu that reveals, as shown below.

A page, entitled "Create Topic", will open up, which will have areas for selecting a forum, entitling your post, and then composing your content.

3. Be sure to select the forum that best relates to your question in the first entry area at the top of the "Create Topic" page.

We have a long list of forums from which to select. If you are unsure which one best applies, please check out the definitions of each forum, which can be found on the forums directory page (pictured below) under Forums/Directory in the main navigation line:

You can also click on any blue forum title, and the definition of that forum will appear at the top of the page that opens up (as shown for the "Important Admin Notices" forum, below):

4. Before you publish your topic, be sure you've also added some tags in the area directly above the "Publish" button (see screenshot below). Tags are required, so that your content can be easily searched and found later. A best practice is using the title of your post as a tag.

And that's all you need to know! Happy forum-posting! Any questions? Please post them below.

HI, @Felicia Nelson, No one is going to see your very good question under this unrelated thread, so I am moving it into a forum of its own. All new questions should go into new forums. Please read our "About" and "Site FAQ" sections for more information about how and where to post.
