I need to make 6 dozen cookies with these bird designs on them. What technique do y'all suggest I use?  Painting them or printing on wafer paper or icing paper? Thank you!  Linda

The delivery date is crucial to determine which is best to use.  I like the idea of hand painting.  Am I right that you didn't factor in the cost of decorating?  A hand paint or copying cost?  Not sure I am wording this correctly.

Thanks Donna!!  Costs isn't an issue. And they want to pick up cookies 4 days before event which I really don't understand. I would prefer them to be as fresh as possible. Just not sure which technique would hold up best.

I am not an expert on either one.  Wafer paper tends to curl so depends on how you store it and then how they store it.  Moisture is the enemy.  Printing on icing sheets, unless I am wrong, can give more vividness.  I suppose you could try printing on one circle and then paint on a circle to test which you prefer and to test how long they are still suitable...

I'd say it depends on your skill level with painting. If it's going to take you a long time to paint 6 dozen, then you would need to charge a lot to make it worth your while. And the customer would have to be willing to pay the premium. Printing on edible paper is obviously a lot faster for most everyone, and can probably be done more cost effectively including the cost of the paper.
