Just a quick note to say: Best of luck to any and all Cookie Connection members who entered the Cake Masters Awards!

I was so excited to have won the cookie award last year, and just as thrilled to be asked to judge all of the categories this year. I am the lone cookier on the panel along with seven amazing cake artists. Humbling, to say the least.

Even more exciting - finalists in all categories will be announced tomorrow, October 16, 2014. Stay tuned to the Cake Masters Facebook page for those announcements. My work as judge then begins. The task: whittling down the finalists to the one winner in each of six sweets categories, including Cookies, Cupcakes, Modeling, Royal Icing, Novelty Cakes, and Wedding Cakes.
