As my cookie business is becoming more established, I have found the need to create a contract for cookie orders, especially for wedding favors. I am curious to hear ideas on contract layout, terms and conditions, and verbiage. Does anyone have a contract that they would be willing to share? I don't want my inexperience in this aspect of my business to come back to bite me later...

That sounds like a legal issue for a licensed attorney to answer.
Have you tried to Google "simple contracts for goods and services for small businesses" or something of that nature?
I can definitely understand the necessity of a contract. I would check my state laws website to see if they have a sample business service contract. You can also purchase them by the pack at Office Depot. You can also find them free on many websites. HTH
You do not need an atty. to create a contract for you and your clients...think of all of the points you'd like to highlight, then form a well written contract between you and your customer. As long as both parties agree to what you have written, it's a legal binding contract.
Regarding wedding, they are the ONLY customers that I allow a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit at the time of signing the contract. I have been a bride and I am sure you all have been...brides get a little nutty sometimes prior to their weddings...If they should decide to cancel their order at the last minute, the deposit is forfeited. I have never had this happen...but we all know if could. Normally, I require 100% payment at time of the order...wayyy back when I started, I would bake the cookies and end up having customers have buyer's remorse and decide they didn't want to spend so much on cookies...hence the reason behind 100% payment up front...I have NEVER had a customer complain about that...after all, the are placing an order for something...
The details really are important, so my advice would be to clearing think about what you would like the contact to point out and execute it.
