As some of you may have read last week, Rebecca (aka The Cookie Architect) is moving on from her post as Practice Bakes Perfect challenger to pursue other cookie dreams. Thanks again to Rebecca for her year of wonderful service to the site! We will miss her!

As sad as it is to see Rebecca go, I'm super excited to officially introduce our new challenger, the extremely talented Christine Donnelly of Bakerloo Station. Christine astonished me with so many of her own challenge entries this past year that, when it came time to choose a new challenge host, I couldn't think of anyone better suited. (Remember her 3-D lily fountain?! Crazy good, right?!) Thankfully, she said "yes" - and without me having to twist her arm or bribe her with any cookie trinkets!

Later today, Christine debuts with her first challenge, which I think you're going to find - well - challenging! And fun too! In the meantime, please take some time to get to know Christine a little better by reviewing her body of work on Cookie Connection and checking out her bio below.

Christine, WELCOME! I know I speak for all of the contributors when I say we are so pleased to have you on the Cookie Connection contributor team.

Christine Donnelly is author of Practice Bakes Perfect, a bi-monthly Cookie Connection blog feature that poses inspiration and challenges to stretch you as a cookie artist - for practice, prizes, and fun! A lifelong baker, Christine began her professional career at 16, when she was hired on the spot at her local bakery to work the counter and decorate cakes. After detours to college and law school, she worked as a trial lawyer in Chicago for many years, ultimately leaving that career to become a stay-at-home mother to her two children. In her “retirement,” she continued to bake at home, at last finding her preferred artistic medium in decorated cookies. In February 2013, Bakerloo Station was born with a presence on both Facebook and Instagram. Christine makes cookies to balance her left brain, to inspire and share creative ideas, and to feed those needs that only art can satisfy.

P.S. The new challenge (Challenge #9) is now open. Read all the deets here.
