I am very excited that I have an opportunity to set up a table in a local coffee house and sell cookies for Valentine's Day. My question is, what is a fair share to give to the coffee house?

Ooh, congrats! Are they asking for a share? What's their motive for having you there? I'd start by understanding their motivation first, as you could cut this any number of ways. Perhaps they just want you there as an added attraction, in which case, you may not need to offer them anything. I've done tastings and signings in coffee shops a fair bit, and usually don't provide them a cut of my sales. Though some small amount in exchange for using their space would be a nice gesture.

No, they are not asking for a cut, but since I was using their shop I thought it would be a nice gesture to give them something. I will discuss it with them and see what they think.
