I want to be able to trace images onto cookies, eventually. Right now I am a beginner, but I have big dreams. I just can't see spending the high amount of money that cookie projectors cost. I have read about how to make your own, but then last night I was looking at social media, and an ad came up for a device called an "optical image drawing board". Apparently you use it to project any image from your tablet or phone to a surface onto which you can trace the image. I have looked at several and they are so low priced that if they work well, I am going to get one. One problem I can see is possible sizing issues, but I suppose the image could be copied into a program where it could be sized. Has anyone used one of these optical drawing boards and, if so, what was your experience?

Hi, again, there are many threads on how to transfer images and the projectors people most often use, so I suggest using our advanced search function (under the magnifying glass icon in the upper right of the site, in laptop viewing mode) to search the forums for "pico projectors" or "image transfer", or just look at all the topics under the "Kopykake and Tracing Q&A" forum. I think you'll find a lot of guidance there.
Here's the link to the tracing forum just mentioned: https://cookieconnection.julia...and-tracing-qandampa
Scroll down past the featured topics (these are topics featured across all forums, and there are a handful right now unrelated to tracing) until you get those related to tracing/projection.
Hope this helps.
