Hello, everyone! Newbie here trying to make a soccer ball with a school letters on it. I can easily silk screen the soccer ball and it looks great. But then the school color is royal blue, when I add the letters over the black of the soccer ball, you can only see part of the letters and it's just not looking good. Any suggestions?

Hi, Joyce Casaldi, Congrats on making your first post. I look forward to many more to come!
Reverse it and make the soccer ball marks blue and the writing black. I know soccer balls aren’t blue, but this way won’t work.
Generally royal icing will cover pretty well if stenciled using normal Mylar stencils. Though I imagine that silkscreen layer is just so thin that the black shows through regardless. If you can, I'd airbrush the black and then stencil over with royal icing and a normal Mylar stencil, which will give a thicker layer of icing on top. Just be sure the blue icing is relatively thick and also contains some white, so the black is less likely to bleed through. If you don't have the luxury of time to get a Mylar stencil cut, then I'd over-pipe the blue stenciled areas with more blue icing, using the stenciled outline as your piping guide.
