I've been getting lots of questions about how to upload photos to Cookie Connection from mobile devices, so here's the latest scoop per my site tech guys . . .
The general rules are:
- Any device that supports Adobe Flash file uploads will be able to support uploads via the standard site interface.
- Any device that supports HTML5 file uploads will support uploads via the mobile site interface. (You can toggle between the two interfaces on a mobile device by clicking on the links at the bottom of the site; though when you log into Cookie Connection on a mobile device, it should automatically bring up the mobile interface.)
- For iPhones, photos and videos can be uploaded on any device running iOS 6 or higher.
- For iPads, uploads are currently not supported at all. [APRIL 2014 UPDATE: Uploads on iPads are now possible. Hurrah!]
- For Android, Windows mobile, and other phones/tablets, uploading will depend on whether the device generally supports uploads in the web browser via HTML5 or Flash, but the device will let you know if you need to upload a newer version of Flash or whatever in order for the uploading to occur. You may also need to check your browser/Flash security settings to make sure that they've been set to allow uploads.
- With the exception of the iPad, file uploads should be supported on the vast majority of modern mobile smart phones and tablets currently on the market (made within the past few years).
I hope this helps!
