I used two bird molds and 6 snowflake molds, and a wood texture (impression) mat.
(I've had the bird molds and wood texture mat for a year but this is the first time I tried them! I still have some molds I've never used...)
I know it's too early to make Christmas cookies but I wanted to see if these tiny snowflake molds can be used for cookies. Tiniest one is about 7 mm wide and 2 mm deep. Real thin parts were broken when I took the dough out of the molds, but I think it's okay level. I removed the dough from the molds after chilling in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
The birds are made of plain sugar cookie dough and I tinted them with luster/petal dust after baked. They are tiny too, so I attached close up photos.
Mintlemonade this is very lovely I have not seen the bird molds before they're very cute it's never too early for Christmas especially when there's cookies involved
Wow such a beautiful cookie! I have the same bird mold but never thought to use with cookie dough (only fondant). Did you bake the cookies inside the mold or mold and then bake? I love the way this turned out! It's so clean and well, joyful! Also, did you bake on the textured mat or remove first? Well done!

Thank you! Actually Christmas is the best season for cookies!

Thank you! I saw @emilybaking made cookies using the same bird molds before. I've never baked cookies inside molds because I'm not sure if they are oven proof. (They are all very cheap ones! ) About the texture mat, it looks like plastic so of course I removed the dough before baking.
I just looked more closely at the detail. I have the same bird mold but have also only used fondant. it really baked up nicely after freezing the dough in the mold first. great idea! !! Love the light green tint for the joy letters...Lovely work!
What a lovely entry! I love that this challenge finally gave you the inspiration to pull all of those unused molds from your cookie closet! I have a couple of questions - Is the wood-gran cookie painted at all, or is that just chocolate dough with the texture mat? And the letters - were they made with colored dough or are they painted?

Thank you! The wood cookie is just chocolate dough, which is very dark because I use black cocoa powder. The letters are coloured dough. I applied ivory lustre dust after baking.
