For this set I thought about the cold winter we are going through in the southern hemisphere.
The mandalas are painted on sugar paper with gel colours diluted in vodka. I used the following Wilton colors: Cornflower blue, Teal, White and silver perl dust . I used the same blue colours for the dough.
The small snowflakes in the middle of the mandalas are made with gum paste and then painted with silver perl dust.
I really loved this Challenge and hope to transmit a bit of the freezing winter we are having!!
This is a gorgeous, wintery set! I really like how you used the colored dough - what a great idea! I wonder, was it difficult to get the color dough that you wanted, and did the color change a lot after the dough was baked?

Thank you Bekerloo!! I have been experimenting for a while with colored dough... all the gel colors work different. But the general rule is to color the dough much darker than the color you need as in the oven the color sort of fades.
