What a uniquely beautiful set! After postings the first sentence here, I read on Facebook how you created this set for your dear friend, Peggy. I wanted to add, when I see wonderful cookie sets like yours, I always wonder what or who, inspired the set. I understand now, your inspiration for this set. And why you chose this set for her. She sounds like a unique and special person. What a special way to honor her!

Peggy is an awesome friend. So lucky to have her in my life. These cookies - lovingly referred to as the 'zipper' cookies - were also inspired by pins or brooches that people make out of felt and zippers. Have you seen those? I really wanted to see if I could cookie that look...

Hi Kari! No, I was not familiar with the pins and brooches made from felt and zippers. But because you ask, I was curious and I Googled them. They are really neat. I like the look that zippers give them. You did a great job duplicating that look on your cookies!
