For many years I have enjoyed making cookies, especially at Christmas time. There are several recipes that are special to our family and we look forward to having many batches made into cookie platters for the holidays.

This year I tried my hand at royal icing. First, I bake sugar cookies using my own recipe (that has been "tweaked" to my liking through the years...more pure Madagascar vanilla and lots of butter and cream cheese...please!) and then I ice them using different decorating tips and techniques with royal icing.

My kitchen is not big, but it is clean and co-insides with the Michigan Cottage Law requirements. I have learned so much about the baking business this year and look forward to all of it’s possibilities.
