Hi! I'm Megan of History In The Baking, a Greater Kansas City, Missouri area business which sells cookies and cupcakes by the dozen.

 

Everything starts with a dream and that’s what started History In The Baking. One day I imagined a very special birthday cake and just HAD to make it. Next thing you know, I bake custom wedding, birthday, baby shower, or just hey-it’s-Friday-let’s-eat-cake cupcakes, cookies, and (sometimes) cakes.

 

I also operate a blog where I post lots of my recent projects, both business orders and personal experiments along with some tutorials! You can click my business name above to go check em' out.

 

I started in 2011 and plan to go until my heart stops beating or people stop eating sweets, whichever comes first!

I remember lying on my kitchen table and crying because I had just knocked a whole tray full of complete cookies onto my kitchen floor. They were ruined. And did I mention that it was 11pm and I had to work the next day? I was up all night, but those cookies looked SO good, and I learned a valuable lesson. Completed cookies go out of reach!! I laugh at myself about it to this day.
