I am a native Floridian transplanted to Dallas, TX. I work in healthcare and have loving baking/desserts and collecting recipes since i was a kid. I enjoy cooking  but not as much as baking. I like to try new things in both cooking and baking. I am self-taught to make desserts from scratch. My mom cooked and made sure I learned that but she did not make a lot of desserts, certainly not from scratch. A few years ago, I was dealing with a situation and remembered how much I loved taking my cake decorating classes in  2008, I signed up for a cookie class but it was cancelled. I would have to journey into the cookie world on my own. I have been decorating cookies probably a total of 6 months but want to learn to do bigger and better decorations with my cookies. I hope to learn, share and grow with this community. I was elated to find that it exist, a domain for cookiers, cookie enthusiasts and aspiring cookiers.
