It was an encounter with a bear in the Rocky Mountains in 2012 that led to starting a cookie business. Having a touch of PTSD from the incident, I relied on the new fruit cookie cutters I had purchased before vacation to help me relax. Never having a class on decorating, I created a "fruit tray of cookies" and three weeks later Susan's Signature Cookies was registered with the State.
