Hi, all! As you might have guessed, these cookies are made with my latest Kitchen Club release, simply called Halloween Tombstone kit. As always, this kit comes in various permutations - a deluxe kit with nine cutters and many stencils, a basic kit with fewer tools, and both of these variations either with or without access to my in-depth video tutorial. Plus, this month, I have a bonus Graveyard Fence kit, which is now available as well (though its instructional video will come in a couple of weeks). This bonus kit was used to make the "wrought iron" fence in the background of this vignette.

As with all of my releases, this one offers up nearly limitless design possibilities. To see more design options and to learn more about the kit contents and benefits of joining my Kitchen Club, I refer you to my official release post on my website, juliausher.com. Or, if you know enough already and are dying to dig into this release (puns fully intended), please check out the following key links! Thank you, and happy Halloween season!

OMG!! This Halloween set is absolutely great!! So realistic and creepy!! I love the shiny silver gravestones! The whole picture is beautifully staged! Is the fence icing? And the soil cocoa? .... Ah, I'm currently reading it in the tags: royal icing transfers (fence rail)! Insanely beautiful and realistic!! GREAT!!!  @Julia M. Usher

Thanks so much for your enthusiasm! The soil is ground chocolate graham crackers. The large tombstones (made with the tombstone kit) are stacked cookies, airbrushed and stenciled with the kit stencils. The cross and small tombstones in the back are molded and airbrushed white chocolate. The scene in the back is a 3-foot very thick sheet of fondant (mounted on cardboard so I wouldn't break it) that was airbrushed and stenciled with another set (not in this kit). The fence posts are cookies and the rails in between are very delicate royal icing transfers. It was made with the bonus graveyard fence kit, also released this month. The pumpkins are royal icing transfers, and the ravens are fondant pieces. Both are made with the stencils in the tombstone kit.
