A friend recently had a breast cancer diagnosis, had a mastectomy last week and begins chemo and radiation in the coming weeks. Throughout this ordeal she's been keeping a blog and has often referenced this Bible verse in it. The second time I saw the reference, I was immediately inspired and knew that the idea of a cheerful heart HAD to be "cookied." Granted, these are super simple and I did a hurried job on them, but I think they definitely fit the bill of being cheerful hearts and if a cheerful heart is good medicine, I hope these made for fantastic medicine for her (or were at least a nice and cheerful surprise).
How delightful ! Immediately they cheered me up and I only have a very sore back. Wonderful thought of yours, and I am sure your friend will be much cheered by your wonderful cookies .
