Here's a step by step of how I created this cookie. For this cookie I really wanted to celebrate painting, so I use white rice paper, fondant and RI, and painted to create this little garden and it's visitor. Great challange!

So, do you paint all of your transfers prior to affixing them to the cookie, or do you attach them first and then paint?
This cookie scene is just pure late summer. The rich, warm tones are pretty spectacular, and I like how the colors of the base part of the cookie go from lighter at the center of the cookie to highlight that center flower, to darker at the margins. The intricate painting on the butterfly is lovely, and I really, really like how you did the centers of the fondant flowers. ANOTHER great challenge entry from you, Kim!

Hi Christine,
If memorie serves me correctly, I painted each as I went along making it and then "glued" in place with RI and then tweeked with shadows and highlights.

Thank you so much! Yes!!! I was trying to capture my favorite part of summer when the sunflowers are in bloom and the sun lies low in the garden. I also played with the painting's back ground trying to do impressions of things. I used colors to play and push forward and back. Thanks for your kind words.
