This week I decided to celebrate all things apple. I used apple extract in both the cinnamon sugar cookie dough and the icing. The flavoring really comes through! I have decorated the traditional apple with leaves, as indicated by the cookie cutter, countless times and could easily complete it if needed. This time, however, I wanted to try something different. Thankfully, I was able to get the royal icing transfers completed in advance. I even had time to airbrush the barrel for some added contouring. Attaching the transfers was a breeze and I actually finished early!
It so rarely works out that way. Despite all of my planning, I swear I live by that old Ziggy cartoon that says, “I wish I could get a little ahead instead of a big behind.” Yet this week, I finally did get a little ahead and was shocked to find out it had absolutely no effect on the size of my behind!
Oh Lisa, what a great idea!!! I absolutely love the apple cookie with the basket of apples as the central design . These are perfect. Not only for this time of year but also in their cleverness and simplicity of the design. I can't imagine making 150 of these though...wow. That's a LOT of cookies. Did you make transfers again to make the process faster? I'm doing more of that as well to help speed up my decorating process . Thank you for the hint my dear
I've really missed seeing you and my many friends here on CC . I've been so busy that I'm turning away order requests!! Me?? I can't believe it. It's never happened before. Two of my clients even sent me MORE money for my work than I had quoted for the jobs!! Can you believe that?! Anyway, I hope you are well. I love my part time job just a couple of weeks ago as a result of covid. Ugh!! I was really sad when my boss called. That was a huge hit financially!! But God is providing (as He always does) by having so many orders coming in and people paying more than I'm charging. Amazing!! ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

I am so happy that your cookies are being appreciated and providing resources for you. That is absolutely wonderful to hear. As they say when one door closes another one opens and this sounds so true for you at this moment. I just love it!
I did make the cookie barrel and apples as royal icing transfers. They saved me. This week I'm doing a rather complicated cookie and may have pushed my luck with the transfers. We'll see in a couple of days.
Big hug back at you my friend. Thank you for sharing such uplifting news!❤️😘
