Apple Pie Apples

These are cookies (125) I made last week for food distribution.  I had made royal icing transfers of the pie that fit beautifully in the cookie cutter I outlined.  When it came time to bake though, I couldn’t find the cookie cutter!! I could only find the larger apple.  I went ahead and made the cookies and used the transfers, but the additional space required something more. I decided to add the green apples at the bottom.   Of course, after the cookies were delivered, I found the correct sized cookie cutter.

Thank you Gabi. They actually did smell like apple pie! I used an emulsion in both the cookie dough and icing. My husband was a bit confused!🤣

I love apple pie very much!
