beautiful carol so you hand painted yellow on the base of the cookie, then
flooded black, then piped lines., piped balls or are they sugar beads/pearls, added the fondant, then piped the border? lol (tsk - I can't see...) lol
I don't know if you saw my question about sugar veil mats (which ones are you looking at) or if I missed your answer.
Thank you so very much Dona!!! I flooded the white section and swirled yellow into the white flood Once that was dry then I flooded the black over the rest of the cookie and did the line work in black on top of the white/yellow. I used a fondant mold for the bells and accented it with gold pearl dust, made the bead border around the white/yellow areas, affixed the fondant bells and piped a yellow snail type of border around the edge of the whole cookie and painted it with metallic gold. I just love the effect of the metallic paints!! I think they add a lot to finishing a cookie . Make sense?
I did see your response about the sugarveil mats. Your answer was just what I wanted to know . Thank you!
Carol Wowwww how elegant, original and chic this work has been you !!!!!
Oh Abuelita, thank you so much for this kind comment!! You are always so very encouraging to me, especially during those "down" times when I feel like the creative juices have abandoned me. I hate it when I feel like that
