Bling in the New Year!

Bling in the New Year!
Sorry, I was so busy prepping for a February Zoom class that I didn't make New Year's cookies this year. But it's the thought that counts!

Here's to a great 2025, everyone! I apologize for the lack of cookies, but in addition to hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas (oh, and New Year's Day!) for my family, I have been consumed with planning my next Zoom class and 2025 competition. Details for the former will be announced soon; schedule and theme for the competition should be announced by end of January.

P.S. Blinged-out gifts were made by me with vintage brooches as the "bows", and the tree was made by Sparklelingdesigns on Etsy.

P.P.S. And a brief PSA with recent site news:  First, there's still plenty of time to create for Watch-Learn-Create Challenge #58, as it doesn't close until January 19. It features the talented Delorse Sword, who teaches how to perfect the beautiful bow, the ultimate accessory for almost any cookie! Learn how to enter the challenge or grab Delorse's kickoff video tutorial if you'd like the learning without participating in the challenge. Second, I still have some of my 2025 cookie calendars left, and they too make stylish accessories (if I do say so myself! 😀), especially atop your favorite cookiers' desks! Remember, all calendar proceeds are used to defray the maintenance costs of Cookie Connection so that I can continue to bring the site to you for free. So why not make your first resolution of the year to pick up a calendar and help Cookie Connection in the process?! And, last but not least, we've rung in the new year with a new site artist, who you all know and love. To find out who it is, please visit her official forum intro post. You can also look forward to an updated Cookier Close-up with this artist just as soon as I recover from my New Year's Eve buzz! 😉 Well, actually after I get the Close-up for our December 2024 artist completed, which should be by the end of January.
