This is a redo of a set from Christmas- so not too long ago, but I was really excited to do it again. The original set was a last minute request for a Christmas gift for a dentist and thought I was generally happy with it, I felt burned out on Christmas by the time is came along and I didn't have much left in the way of creative juices. I ended up doing more Christmas and less teeth. So this time around I really wanted to up the focus on the dentist aspect and also add to the humor and fun of the set!
I did a little more playing around with my cookie cutter (originally a tulip) to create a better looking tooth. I also added the crowns to a few because they were a gift for a dentist who had helped someone with a crown (and I thought it was funny)! I also wanted to teeth to have a bit more personality, so I changed up their faces. I tried to do a little more outlining to get sharper lines and especially a better shape with the lips - which is something I sometimes forgo when I'm in a rush.
I have a fear of/am not very good at writing on cookies, so I overcame that and freehanded the "toothpaste" and then used my new Pico projector to do the smile - which has now taken away all my fear!
Lastly I added in the open mouths - which I almost didn't do, but it ended up being my favorite part of the whole set!
Great to see you back with another entry! Both sets are super cute!
Thank you! It was a week of redos apparently! But it was really fun to think about it in regards to the challenge! It was my first time participating and I definitely look forward to doing more of them
I love it!! My daughter is a dental hygienist and would love these only she'd request floss Love the wide open mouths and the crowns! --Katy
Thanks!! How fun-these would be perfect for her!! Yes floss is definitely on my list to adate to this set if I ever do another redo! I also wanted to do those little mirrors they use.
Great set! I think maybe you need to redo this multiple times - "A tooth for All Seasons!" I think your writing turned out great, as did you "open wide" design. I love when a creative risk pays off!

Thank you!!! I think writing will always scare me, but trying to just do it! Teeth for all Seasons- I LOVE that idea I am now picturing teeth with cupid bows and arrows, teeth in uncle sam's hats, teeth in Halloween costumes - lol I think we're on to something here!

Go For It!
A set with personality. Love the hidden jokes, Anne Marie's 'open wide' and of course the crown. Great repurposing. This makes me happy.
