Very sweet indeed, love the different fabric textures.

But I'm not sure I get it, " child waiting for the kings " ??? do you mean like for Christmas time "the wise men" ? If so, why is the baby dressed in pink ?

In Spain, the night of the 5th of January, three kings mounted on camels come with gifts for children, is the night of the kings(Los Reyes Magos) and all the kids go to sleep early to wait .. This little girl is sleeping this magical night

Thanks for yours comments

Feliz año para ti Pilar, y si, es verdad, los adultos también nos vamos a la cama pronto esa noche, después de haber puesto, en mi casa, leche y turron para los Reyes y los camellos...

Pilar happy year for you, and  it's true, we adults are also going to bed early that night, after having put in my house, milk and "turron"(nougat) for the Kings and camels ...

No we don't have the same tradition, when I was a kid we celebrated the 3 kings on January the 6 which is called Epiphany and the only thing that we had in those days aside from one last feast meal was a cake baked with 3 beans inside and whomever found one of these in his or her piece of cake was made kings or queens of the day :-) It was also the last day of the Holidays as the next day all decorations came down and packed away.

It's a nice tradition, Lady Godiva, I like the history of the three beans, .In Spain three magic kings from Orient are coming with a lot of presents for good people and bring coal for the naughty child .Happy new year  for you  and remember...must be good girl this year....
