Initially, when I looked at the table setting, all I saw where long lines and circles. When I zoomed into the photo to see where all the gold trim was located, I noticed a minimalistic, white, hexagon/octagon shaped placard with dark lettering sitting on the main dish on top of a napkin. That became the inspiration for this design. I added poppy seeds, dark grey stenciled lettering, and the light gray corner accent to match the pops of greys on the table. The single line old gold gilding, pearls/beads, and washi tape around the container play off of the gold trim on the glasses and plates. The simple piped floral pattern maintains a contemporary feel and represents a ranunculus, carnation, small buds, and leaves from the inspiration photos. The cookie is thinner then a typical cookie base (1/8 inch) to allow for the addition of filling; this is just an added bit of fancy that the customer could opt out of. Cookie is displayed in a food safe acrylic container, padded with clear cello wrap, and sealed with gold washi tape, all of which are fairly inexpensive when purchased in bulk.

There is such wonderful understated elegance with this minimalistic cookie design. Little details like the brushed grey coloring along the edge and the piped gold line really help to complete the whole look. I really love the delicate look of the piped floral pattern. The cookie and packaging coordiate beautifully with the table setting. And I will give you "two thumbs up" for including the flavorings, which, by the way, sound absolutley delicious!
