OMG!  You have really got me thinking.  Michael's has gobs of sun catchers for sale.  The cookie ideas are endless.  However, I don't have the patience or skill to apply royal icing like you do but I really can't wait to try making a sun catcher cookie!!

Both are food safe. I scrub the metal ones with a toothbrush and dish liquid and pad them dry with paper towels. The metal ones are my favorite.

The plastic suncatchers come with a black line that should be washed off.

There are two or three different kinds of plastic suncatchers. On some, the lines are fine and permament and not very deep and the other has heavy black lines that will come off on your cookie dough if you don't remove it.

Hi Mily, I bought the plastic ones at hobby lobby. The metal ones are by "Makit & Bakit" were given to me and some of them I bought on eBay.

The ones in the picture above are metal.
