This is my first attempt to make molded coloured cookies.
(I was so impressed when I saw beautiful coloured springerle on FB, though I don't remember whose they are...)
I used a silicone mold and normal butter cookie dough with a bit of colouring. I pressed the dough into the mold, chilled it in the freezer for a while, probably 30 minutes, then it easily came out!
Your work is terrific as always! I didn't think they are cookies...
Recently I finally received some cheap silicone molds from a Chinese online shop and the fairy mold is one of them. I also tried a dahlia type mold like the big brown flower on your heart cookie, but it didn't come out right.

I love those fairy molds!! For the really delicate molds, like the dahlia, I bake right in the mold. I find they some out more easily that way - and there is absolutely no spread, of course.
Touché to Julia's comment/s. Both of you are excellent at what you can do. Loving mintlemonade's work. This set is splendid. At first I thought it was fondant. I probably should follow through on looking for molds. I just do not like a lot of icing atop a cookie, or blobs of fondant. lol Springerle molds are expensive. It's not likely that I will invest in a set. Oh well... Merry Christmas!!!!!!
So perfect! Love them ❤️Could you write here your cookie recipe please? I bet cookies must be white to reach those colors, I mean: using my usual cookies recipe they turn out dark yellow and 'fat'. Did you add also white color inside? Thank you!

Thank you Julia! Baking in a mold! I didn't thought of the idea. I wonder if my super cheap mold is okay for baking though...

Thank you Evelin! I thought I should use springerle recipe, but I couldn't wait to try the mold and used my left over normal butter cookie dough with just Wilton pink or green. My butter cookie recipe is simple; 200g butter, 90g sugar, 1 egg, 430g plain flour. Not to brown the cookies, I baked them in lower temperature, for longer time. Anyway I suppose proper springerle recipe is the best to get the right colour.
