So darn fun! Question, though: How were your color variations/shading achieved? Dusting? Shading with airbrush (cookie edges?)? Painting (swirls in hot cocoa)? Other?

All the shades are made by dusting powder dyes (cookie edges included) For the swirls in hot cocoa I used light brown royal icing and once dried I dusted with different shades of dyes (chestnut, brown dark, white)
