Challenge 9 – Piped Lettering. I was terrified of this challenge. My penmanship in any form is atrocious. I have a Kopykake projector but have only used it once. And that was many moons ago and not for lettering. I truly had no idea how it was going to go. I decided to go all in however and…I loved it!!! I used a 12”by6” cookie and tried eight different fonts, with the projector. I’m incredibly shaky but I managed to get it done. As stated, these are my key ingredients for a good year – in celebration of the Lunar New Year! I can certainly see how piped lettering is a skill where practice can make perfect!

EXCELLENT job with the lettering! And I love that "cookies" are right up there with BIG concepts like "kindness", "wellness", "tolerance", etc.
Your lettering looks great! What did you find to be the most challenging part? Did you find that the right icing consistency was made a difference?
I would say the hardest part was picking the font! Finding fonts that were interesting but forgiving, if need be. The icing consistency made all of the difference. I think repeated practice would definitely make it possible to ditch the Kopykake.
