This cookie is based on a manuscript and seal dating back to the 1100s. The manuscript is made of wafer paper and is hand lettered using edible ink. The wax seal is made using the stenciled wax seal transfer technique as demonstrated by Manu, and the golden beetle is a piped transfer.
I originally made this cookie to enter into the Watch-Learn-Create Challenge #57 but unfortunately realized too late that the requirement was that both transfer techniques must be stenciled.

Gorgeous! I went ahead and added you to the challenge clip set anyway, as the transfer is stunning! (You're right, the challenge required both of Manu's transfers, but I also recently added Ryoko's post with one transfer to the set.) This way, when people browse the clip set in the future, they will be sure to see your cookie (and Ryoko's) and how you applied Manu's technique to it. I'm also copying @Manu biscotti decorati to be sure she sees this post. Her challenge recap post and reel are already done (we must do them days in advance in order to be ready to post on Saturday), so we unfortunately can't include you in them, but, again, more people will see this cookie if also in the challenge clip set. Well done!
P.S. Also a couple of questions for more challenge learning: (1) What tool and edible ink did you used for the lettering? It's so delicate! (2) What medium did you use for the ribbon? (3) And what size piping tip for the details on top of the seal?
The lettering is done freehand using a pen from the company Rainbow Dust. It has a very fine tip on one end and a much wider one on the other. The ribbon is made of fondant and the detail on the seal was piped with a number 1 tip.

Thanks - yeah, those Rainbow Dust pens are great, as are those sold by Terry at Tweets Cookie Connection.
What an incredibly beautiful, detailed cookie @Dixie Dust and Powdered Sugar!! Your lettering is so well done and the seal just blows me away with its level of detail and perfect execution of the technique!! Love your creativity ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
