Though Julia @Julia M. Usher turned me on to the joys of stamping, Manu @Manu biscotti decorati inspired two key parts of this cookie – the loop border and flipping the cookie over to decorate. All three things tie together. The white circle of the cookie is actually a royal icing transfer. I decided to go this route because – as it turns out – I’m not the best stamper. Particularly with a stamp as wordy as this one. I made two dozen of these but had to go through over 30 transfers to get a useable stamp. I did get a better feel for it as I went on. However, I am very glad that my discards were transfers instead of freshly iced cookies! Flipping the cookie over (a la Manu!) provided a perfectly flat surface for the transfer. This was my first time experimenting with the loop border that Manu often uses. I really enjoyed it but I should have paid more attention. I got a bit distracted by the icing and looping and kept forgetting what I was doing. My loops are all over the place. Fortunately, it is a forgiving technique but next time I will pay more attention!
I love these cookies Lisa @LisaF!! The message is timeless and so important in our world today. I like the technique with the loops that Manu often uses . It looks very pretty with this design. Your flowers are perfect my dear! The color is one of my favorites, too. LOL. It was so great to see your post today as I don't come here often these days. You're such a dear cookie friend, Lisa. Be well and keep cookie-ing ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

Thanks again for the shout-out. These cookies are so sweet, and even sweeter because they draw on so many techniques shared by others. It's great to see Manu's tutorials and my demos put to use!
I’ve been trying Manu’s loops also. I definitely need much more practice. These are lovely.
Thanks Stevie. I should have practiced more before I actually decorated the cookie. There's more to it than meets the eye! And, as I said, I became a bit hypnotized by the loops and kept losing track!😂
