They are actually three pieces that interlock - no glue necessary! An O, a C and another C (hence the name, OCC puzzle). I will post a picture below of the pieces unassembled so you can see them.

Yes, it is. I mixed brown into one batch and black colour into the other batch. The black ended up like quite a purple shade, but I thought it was still nice. Thank you for your comment!
