Whenever our kids' birthdays come around each year I realize just how quickly time is passing!! Our daughter often attends formal military events since her hubby was promoted to the rank of General in the Air Force. She's always wearing a new and elegant dress!! Ah, we women can really love our fancy dresses, can't we?! (I must admit that I sure do...not a big surprise that she does as well .)
Every time I look at pictures from these events I am warmed in my heart with love (like every mother who might be reading this). She's lived 3,000 miles from us for many years now. You would think that I'd get used to her being so far away from home. Nope!! What matters most to us is that she's very happy in her life ❤️. Knowing this makes the distance much easier for me.
I hope she enjoys these cookies as much as I enjoyed making them for her ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, living far away from our kids is painful, but as you well mention, we are so grateful they are happy with their lives. This is such a huge blessing ❤️
