This is my last entry for the Practice Bakes Perfect challenge #50. I so wished I had more time to do the other challenges listed.

For this I chose Challenge #35 Painting

Once again this is my first time painting on a cookie. I like the one stroke painting method.  The cookie is covered with fondant and painted with gel food colors. Mixing gel colors half with the white color made the consistency of the colors a little think. It did make it hard to paint. I do not know if I had to add any other medium to the colors. I surely need more practice as well.

This is a beautiful painted cookie. I love the brush stroke effect and the thicker paint - it adds character (similar to some of the great masters' works). The colors, design and composition are perfectly balanced.  It's hard to believe that this is your first time, but I can only imagine that with practice your painted work will become even more spectacular!
