So beautiful. I like the boat ( how is the sail attached?) ,beautiful woodwork, the treasure chest( is that a custom cut cookie) and the way you did the detail of the water  with the boat at sea. My grandsons birthday has pirate theme. Is there any advice you can provide me  I am planning to recreate this set

Nancy, The sail of my ship didn't have to be attached.  I purchased a "pirate ship" cookie cutter.  I did have to be extra careful with them though because the middle area was indeed quite small and they wanted to break in half if I wasn't careful - I guess because of the weight of icing on both the upper and lower portion of the ship.
With regard to the treasure chest - that was not a custom cutter.  I simply used a rectangle cutter.  It may be hard to see the outline of the cookie beyond where I decorated because I used a chocolate cookie recipe for those.  I added the "woodgrain effect" on my chest with a paintbrush and a darker brown royal icing.  I did the "woodgrain effect" on my ship with a paintbrush and food color gel and luster dust.
Regarding your question on the water under the ship - I just used a thicker royal icing and piped it in stages so it would appear somewhat layered. I piped most of the "droplets" in a tear drop shape - more or less. Squeezing harder initially and then releasing the pressure and pulling.  I also added some pearls here and there.  I brushed just a bit of blue luster dust in spots to shade it a bit.
I hope I answered your questions.  Let me know if I can help you any further!
