Hi Yuri, Diane and Lucy! I want to thank each of you for your nice comments! Your comments are very encouraging and I really do appreciate them, so much! I wanted to share, more details about my cookie. I have wanted to start my first cookie project for some time now, learning as much as I can from tutorials, blog posts, You Tube videos, Cake Central, and of course, Cookie Connection. But, was so intimidated, by the awesome cookies, I see. So, when the Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge came up, I still did not have the confidence that I needed, and did not even know where to start. But when Julia posted the update about the added prize/apron. That was just the motivation I needed, to give cookie decorating a try. It was now or never. I used the basic rolled sugar cookie recipe from Karen's Cookies. And the royal icing recipe from Sweet Sugar Belle. The only icing color I had trouble with was the hair color. I had difficulty getting the shade, I desired. The cookie is made with six cookie pieces, the back, the four pieces of the frame and the stand. I wanted to add a royal icing butterfly, transfer. But felt I had already pushed my cookie decorating abilities to the limit. I just knew as I looked at the finished picture frame, propped up with vegetable cans, to allow the icing to dry, it was going to fall apart, before I could get a photo of it, to post for this challenge.  

Hi Julia! The outline of the mother, her dress, the baby, and the flowers on the picture frame are piped on. All of the surface/finer details, such as the eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows, diaper pin, the baby's nose, dots on the headband, veining on the leaves, details on the large yellow flowers, outline of the stripes on the four petaled flowers were added with a food coloring marker.
