This is a platter with 11 different designs of Pregnancy Announcement cookies that I created for my son and daughter-in-law so they could surprise her brother and family with the exciting news, simply by offering them a cookie. They took a video so I could see the reaction … it was hilarious when they understood the significance of the design … lightbulb moment. ha ha ha
For the purpose of perspective the 2 largest (square) cookies are 4.5”x4.5”.

I love this set! So striking. Can you explain a bit about how you made the fetus cookies (left) and calendars? From here, it looks like you used textured/embossed fondant or modeling chocolate, but hard to tell. TIA!

Thank you so much, Julia. Yes, I’d be happy to explain. All of the cookies have a sugar cookie base. 1) The top left Ultrasound was made with 4 extremely thin layers of fondant 1st (bottom) layer was black with shimmering black dusting powder; 2nd layer I marbled black and white fondant; 3rd layer black fondant; top layer marbled black and white fondant and just cut the fetus part away from the surrounding of the cookie cutter.
2) The calendar started with a layer of royal icing and then I cut a square of fondant and scored its with a very thin ruler to make the lines.
3) The actual fetus cookies where made with a cookie cutter that I ordered from a company in Australia 3 years ago. I can’t remember the name at the moment.
Thank you for your kind comment and don’t hesitate to ask for further info if you’d like any more info.
